If you’ve finished a Bachelor’s degree and you’re already working, you’ve probably asked yourself what comes next. More responsibility? A move into management? A role that takes you across borders? A Master in International Management (MIM) is one route people in the UAE are looking at, and it’s worth knowing what it is before you speak to anyone about enrolling.
What a Master in International Management is
A MIM is a postgraduate management qualification. It gives you a broad picture of how organisations work and how they compete in different markets, rather than going deep into one technical subject. You study strategy, leadership and the core areas of business, with an international angle running through all of it.
People often compare it with an MBA. Both build strong management skills. What sets the MIM apart is its international focus: Clermont School of Business built it around how companies operate across markets and cultures, and you can shape it to your goals with one of nine specialisations, from Finance to Artificial Intelligence. The right choice depends on your background and where you want your career to go, and a Westlyn Careers advisor can help you compare the two.
How the MIM through South Stafford College works

- You study 100% online, so you keep your job.
- The program takes 12 to 15 months, depending on your pace and specialisation.
- You can take the general MIM or choose one of nine specialisations.
The nine specialisations are Project Management, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Data Science & Analytics, IT & Digital Transformation, E-Commerce & Digital Marketing, Supply Chain & Logistics, Human Resource Management and Healthcare Management.
About Clermont School of Business
Clermont was founded in 1919 in Clermont-Ferrand. It’s one of 24 French Grandes Écoles of Management with three international accreditations at school level: AACSB, AMBA and EFMD Bachelor. Its AACSB accreditation covers all of the school’s programmes. The Financial Times placed it 97th in its European Business School Rankings 2025.
One detail matters here. AMBA and EFMD Bachelor accredit specific Clermont programmes, not this MIM. When you compare options anywhere, check whether an accreditation belongs to the school or to the program you’re actually applying for.
